Bug: Previous period filter is weird
It’s June 17th, i’m on the “Month to Date”-View and have comparison set to “previous period”.
So I’m looking at the period of 1. June - 17. June and I want to compare it to the previous period, which to me means the previous month. So I’d like to see 1. June - 17. June vs 1. May - 17. May.
But instead the comparison is made between:
- June is compared to 3. June
- June is compared to 18. May
I don’t think that is useful and I cannot imagine who would be interested in “previous period” comparison working like that. Tomorrow the comparison will be a completely different one (shifted by one day), just because period is now 18 days instead of 17 days.
The same is truy if I’m on the “Year to Date” view and have comparison set to “previous period”. It shows January to June of this year but it does not compare it to January to June of the previous year. Instead it compares January 2025 with July 2024. How does that make any sense?
I don’t think the “previous period” filter should work like that and if I remember correctly, it didn’t use to work like that. Sometime in the past couple months it changed and I think it’s a bug.
