Import from GA4

It’s already possible to import historical data from Universal Analytics into Plausible but it would be nice to also allow imports from GA4.

I couldn’t agree more. By importing my (old) UA, it gives me a black hole in my statistics from the moment Google deactivated collection for this type of property. It’s a real shame because it’s holding me back from adopting Plausible.

Any timelines on this one? Im hesitant to migrate from GA4 for this reason too.

I’m also wondering if you guys already started developing this feature?

Seeing as UA has been depreciated and non-functional for 6 months, it seems wild that this functionality has been broken for this long – espetially since so many users must be migrated from GA.

I probably won’t join Plausible until this is available. I hope you add this soon. Thank you!

Pleeeeeease, we are missing a few months of data that are only available in GA4 :S isnt there an alternative even with an external script to do this? for example implementing some sort of connector with Airbyte for example that is already able to do this?

GA4 import is pretty much ready from our side we’re just doing some last minute testing before we release it into the wild. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience!

Good news! Will it be possible to add GA4 import to existing UA import? I’ve already imported old data from UA (before 2023) and I would like to add GA4 (2023 > today) and merge everything. Thanks

It’s now possible to import both UA and GA4 properties into the same Plausible dashboard. We’ll automatically detect time ranges to prevent double counting of periods and to avoid any gaps in the data.

The same considerations apply to the GA4 import as to the UA import: Imported data is less functional than native data. It cannot be filtered, exported and some metrics may be missing due to limitations with the Google APIs. More details in the link above.
