It’s already possible to import stats from Google Analytics (UA and GA4) into Plausible but would be nice to also have a more general CSV import tool that could work for stats from smaller analytics providers.
This would also make it possible to transfer stats between Plausible cloud and self-hosted (and vice versa).
Would be great to be able to import from Clicky
Would be great to be able to import from plausible (and export full stats).
Usecase: we’ve been running on a test instance and would like to move one sites data to another server
This feature would be very helpful as we would like to migrate from the self hosted Plausible Community edition to the managed offering and need a way to move our data.
I’m in the same boat as Marcus: I’m considering moving from self hosted to managed, but would need a migration option.
UP next is a great thing to see :-)
Can you share what your plan to do?
Import / export plausible dataset ?
And hopefully a feature for both selfhosted and managed?
You can now import external data into Plausible using CSV files. The CSV import supports Plausible data by default but can also be used to import data from other sources if the external data is formatted according to our guidelines. See the full details: https://plausible.io/docs/csv-import
If you’re using Plausible Community Edition (CE), version 2.1.0-rc.1 or higher is required to access this feature.
Note that our Google Analytics importer is the recommended option when looking to import the data from UA and GA4.
And if you’re looking to transfer a site from one Plausible account to another, the transfer ownership functionality is the recommended way.
Thanks Marko. Transfer ownership is a great way to move ownership. Doesnt work between servers though …
